The filter elements are reusable stainless steel mesh with viton rubber seals around the inside and the outside edges, These filter elements come in different micron mesh openings to accommodate all different types, thickness and viscosities of oils and fluids. The larger the number the coarser the mesh. Elements will be able to be reused many times over and over again by just cleaning the filter element. Should always have a spare element just incase the seals start failing. These elements will fit other brands of flat screen style filters, including Oberg, Moroso and Holley.The 60 micron element is uesd for engine oils 50 weight or lighter
