FFWD Wheels specialises in Hand Built Carbon Wheels which are all assembled at our Head Quarter in the Dutch town of Zwolle. Our wheel builders pay close attention to every wheel and work from start to finish on each wheel. FFWD Wheels are no mass product! FFWD Wheels are of high quality; light, fast and strong! All parts of the wheels have been selected fort heir high quality standards and reputation. Hubs by DT Swiss, spokes and nipples from Sapim and DT Swiss. Together with our rims the FFWD wheel builders create a durable product to make you go faster.
With one of the three hub options by DT Swiss (FFWD, DT240 or DT180) and Sapim CX-Ray or DT Aerolite spokes wheels are build in a traditional configuration with 20 spokes in the front wheel and 24 spokes in the rear wheel. The spokes are attached to the rim with DT Swiss Pro-Lock brass nipples. All FFWD rims are designed for outside spoke nipples to make service very easy.
During the building process of a wheel, spokes are being stretched to prevent you have to true the wheels after a certain time or distance. By stretching the spokes with lots of force you might not have to true the wheels for years.
