The Ultegra RX RD-RX800 rear derailleur by Shimano – friction damping on a Road rear derailleur
The Shimano Ultegra RX RD-RX800 rear derailleur is designed for Road bikes, but features the Shadow+ technology previously reserved for MTBs. A stabiliser mechanism that can be switched on and off provides friction damping, which considerably reduces the risk of chain hits and chain drops on uneven, non-asphalted surfaces. The RD-RX800 is therefore perfectly suited for Cyclocross, Gravel and adventure riders who demand a high degree of safety in addition to Shimano’s typical shifting precision. The Ultegra RX rear derailleur is suitable for 11-speed cassettes from 11-28 to 11-34 teeth with its longer GS-type aluminium cages. You also have the option of direct mount.
