SRAM MTB Chain Ring 34 Teeth 11 Speed 94 BCD shares all of the functionality and possesses the same tooth profile of XX1. It also saves you a few bucks, as the 94mm BCD is easier to produce than XX1’s 76mm BCD. Although a 30T is the smallest chairing allowed by X01’s larger BCD, compared to the 28T of XX1, the convenient feature of being able to remove the ring without removing the crank is still present.

X01 chainrings have precisely machined alternating tooth profiles to perfectly match the chain’s inner and outer link width. The chainring engages the chain like a vice virtually eliminating the need for a chain guide. SRAM calls it X-Sync technology, we call it life-changing. When combined with the SRAM X01 rear derailleur with roller bearing clutch, the chain is as secure without a guide as a bike without gears at all.
